All those in my employ are emancipated slaves. As I was freed by my mentors so I free others. We serve Apollo and the god Asclepios. When I select a slave to free I offer them emancipation. They can go or stay, but are under no obligation to work for me. If they stay, they must work. Whatever business we establish is to become their own. I guess this might be called profit shareing. We have good years, we have bad years. All in all_the gods smile upon us.

On the small islets off Chios we found the spoils of the hijacked ship the "Amalia"_the ship had been headed for Corfu. The bride, daughter of the wealthy shipping family Alexandros was held for ransom by pirates. The
ransome was paid, but the girl has yet to be found. We searched the small islets and recovered much of the lost dowry. I am still hopeing to find the girl and return her to her family. I think she was probably sold into slavery. If I can find her I will do all that I can to obtain her release.
